trying to master the homemade non-tacky gift

every christmas i struggle through the argument of homemade vs. bought christmas gifts. no matter what the budget every year, i always seem to wind up with the same conclusion - i love to make at least a couple gifts to share. there have been years that there just doesn't seem to be enough time, this year being one of them. so instead of just leaving those half-done projects in the basket, i spent little time finishing them and giving them away. so far, it's been a lot of fun.

i am a little stressed about it being just a couple days before christmas and not having one gift under the tree that is for either doug or tova. one of the things i regret about putting all my energy into making gifts for people besides my family is that doug and tova end up getting nothing handmade from me (and so far nothing at all). next year, i hope to start with making gifts for them and then adding on people if i get the time.
